Pnt Studio ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Clean Plate AI mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password via Firebase Authentication.

User Preferences: Dietary restrictions, health goals, and ingredients you choose to avoid. These are stored to personalize your experience.

Scan Data: Photos you take of restaurant menus are processed for text extraction and analysis. Menu text and analysis results are stored in your account.

Subscription Information: Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not directly collect or store payment information.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve menu analysis and health scoring
• To personalize results based on your dietary preferences and health goals
• To maintain your scan history
• To manage your subscription
• To communicate important updates about the service

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication and database storage
• Google Cloud Vision API: Optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from menu photos
• Anthropic Claude API: AI-powered health analysis of menu items
• USDA FoodData Central API: Verified nutrition data lookup
• RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore). We use security rules to ensure that only you can access your own data. All network communications use HTTPS encryption.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data, preferences, and scan history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Preferences → Delete Account). This permanently removes your account, all scan history, preferences, and associated data. Account deletion does not cancel active subscriptions — manage subscriptions through your device's app store settings.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the app's functionality.

9. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data (viewable in-app)
• Delete your account and all associated data (in-app)
• Update your preferences at any time (in-app)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
